Charles and all the workshop participants with their fresco pieces.

In August, as part of the finale of our art exhibition with The Art Shop & Chapel in Abergavenny, we led a group workshop teaching contemporary fresco at The Chapel; making frescoes surrounded by frescoes!

The group was absolutely brilliant - full of enthusiasm and creativity and hard work - and everyone created amazing little pieces of art, and got to grips with the tools and material really well. It was fun to share our process and teach - Charles loves it! - and to introduce everyone to the possibilities of painting with plaster. We’re hoping to launch some contemporary fresco kits at some point next year so students can carry on experimenting at home.

Here are some photos of the day taken by Samuel Callen. Enjoy!
