PHOTOS / Fresco in POHA House, Aachen

As 2023 scurried towards its close, we had the absolutely pleasure of partnering with co-living company POHA House. POHA is a family-founded company with a very good mission indeed - focusing on community, wellbeing, good design and, most importantly, creating uplifting and positive spaces for people to live and work in. In November, we set off to west Germany, heading out to Aachen to install a fresco mural in the lobby of their new Theaterplatz building. Situated directly across from the Theater Aachen in the old town, it’s in a beautiful spot, only a few minutes from Charlemagne's grand cathedral. The palette for the piece was warm, bright, optimistic and suitably full of effusive theatrical energy.

As well creating their new fresco, we taught a series of in-house fresco workshops to the Theaterplatz residents and members of the POHA team - such fun! And our filmmaker Samuel Callen took a collection of amazing photos, some of which are shared below. Excitingly, we also have a film in the works which we will be able to share soon. Finally, a shout out to our studio assistant Fergus - thank you, couldn’t have done it without you! And a big thank you to everyone at POHA House too, the perfect hosts, and a very special team who made it a thoroughly enjoyable and successful trip.
