COLOURBOARD / February '21
Feeling the ongoing need for warmth, embrace and comfort, this month’s colourboard is suitably rosy and cocooning. We’ve been drawn primarily to warm-but-earthy tones of cinder rose and blush, alternating with soft eau de nil, little bursts of cranberry and, because it’s still February, some freshness from pale pink and lilac; all of this balanced with the rich, darker reminder of winter-not-quite-over in daubs of forest green. We can see this palette transitioning into spring with the addition of lemony yellow or acorn green. Lots to play with.
As with our other boards, this is rather like a moodboard and a colour palette, but more about colour than mood, and richer than just a palette. An inspirational collection of images that we will take forward into the studio to inform our experiments over the coming weeks.
