24 FRESCOES / First Collection Launching Soon

We are so excited to finally be launching our new series of original fresco panels, 24 Frescoes. Every two months we will be creating a group of 24 fresco panels exploring a unique narrative vignette and colour palette (which will change each time). These pieces will be available to purchase directly from our website.

The panels will be more domestically-sized than some of our huge frescoes (!), and there will be three sizes from Demi (a large statement piece), to Midi (perfectly middling) and Fragments (great for small spaces or a gallery wall), for you to experience the beauty and power of fresco in your own home. There is nothing like a piece of art to lift a space and spirits and we really hope that these new frescoes will play their part.

SAVE THE DATE: WEDNESDAY 24th MARCH

Our first collection of 24 Frescoes is entitled Terra Firma. It is inspired by Spanish earth, sky, heat, art and history, and represented in a specially created palette of pigmented plaster; colours of spice, earth, chocolate, sky, old paper, and gold.

For inspiration, we delved into Catalonian art, researched cacoa-questing conquistadors, looked at ancient daubings in the Altamira caves, antique pavement tiles from Seville, and the old rock formations of Los Mallos de Riglos. Each piece has been created by Charles in our Little Studio near Abergavenny in an intense window of time, working as the plaster sets. More about Charles’ work can be found on The Artist page.

Each fresco will be backed and ready to hang, and arrive as a special package accompanied by some narrative insight.

There will be only 24 pieces available. 6 x Demi-frescoes (120 x 80cm), 6 x Midi-frescoes (80 x 60cm) and 12 x Fragments (60 x 40cm). Prices are from £390 excluding p&p.
